Cassana and Obed chose to have their engagement photoshoot at Christianson's Nursery in Mount Vernon. A location that is abundant with lush greenery and vibrant florals. The greenhouses are bursting with color and charm that it's hard to not take photos every few steps. Not only is Christianson's a functioning nursery, but the gardens are home to a wedding venue which makes it even a more perfect photoshoot location because it truly holds the magic and love of past couples who have started their forever there.
These two were such a joy to photograph because they were really able to tap into that magical feeling. The sweet and honest love they share shined through instantly, so we were able to capture not only the simple shots but get creative with all that Christianson's had to offer: the blooms, statues, meadows, flower carts, giant planters, and even their working potting shed.
As perfect as this location is, I'm a huge believer that your outfits can elevate your engagement photoshoot more than a location can. You can tell that Cassana and Obed were intentional about their clothing options because each piece complemented the location that they chose, as well as their own personal style. Light neutrals, earth tones, denim, and statement shoes worked perfectly for this specific photoshoot, but can be adapted to your own session and style.
