love was in full swing

This story of how I came to photograph Taylor and Tayson's wedding starts back in 2024. Tayson's mother, Heidi, found me on Instagram and asked me to capture her wedding day at Chuckanut Bay Distillery in Bellingham. I had to chance to get to know her and her husband, Jim through that process, and so I was overjoyed when Taylor reached out to me and gave me the chance to photograph another wedding for this sweet family! Nothing makes me happier than when I get to work with families' multiple times over.
We did their engagement photoshoot at Lairmont Manor in May 2025. I was able to spend some quality time with them, get them comfortable in front of the camera, and help get them even more excited for their upcoming wedding day. I highly suggest you add an engagement session to your wedding package for all of these reasons.
Taylor and Tayson's wedding day at Echo Falls Golf Club was a beautiful, intentional and emotional day,
and I'm so honored I was there to capture these memories that they will look back on for years to come.

getting ready with the girls
Echo Falls Golf Club in Snohomish, Washington has one of the most beautiful and spacious bridal suites that I've seen. There is plenty of natural light, makeup stations, a private bathroom, couches, chairs, and even a dining table. The staff stocked it full of snacks, medicine, and anything you could need. By the time I arrived, the girls were mostly ready and just doing the final touches, making Tik Tok's together, and holding back tears that would eventually overflow.
The second that Taylor put on her dress, her mom couldn't help but shed some happy tears. She got to zip up Taylor's dress, place her veil in her half up, half down hairstyle and see her daughter as a beautiful bride! Her bridesmaids helped us get the full effect of Taylor's bridal look by spreading her whole veil out, help her get her shoes on, and prepare her to see her future husband!
first look + private vows
I already knew that Taylor and Tayson were sweet together, but their first look was the most tender moment I've been able to witness. There were tears in both of their eyes and were completely present with each other. Taylor was so concerned that she got makeup on Tayson's jacket and he didn't want her to feel bad about it for one second. He brushed it off with the ease of a gentleman and simply wanted her to feel beautiful and loved.
couple portraits
Since Echo Falls is an active golf club, we had to be strategic about where we took our portraits. We stuck to this smaller area that looked out over the greens so we could stay out of the action while still getting the amazing views the venue had to offer.
wedding party + family portraits
Taylor and Tayson had such a great group of people surrounding them on their special day. This time of day is the best because I get to watch their best friends hype them up and their families ground them in how special of a moment this is for the whole family!
ceremony
When getting married indoors, look for a venue with lots of natural light and walls that will reflect that light. Echo Falls has a gorgeous indoor ceremony space with views of the 18th hole. Taylor and Tayson shared their vows privately during their first look, so their ceremony was short and sweet. After a quote (or two) from The Lord of the Rings, they were pronounced husband and wife!
cocktail hour + reception
After their ceremony, Taylor and Tayson signed their marriage license and celebrated with all of their favorite people. Their guests got to sign their guest book, take a complimentary golf tee as a party favor along with a His or Her favorite cookie, and drink one of their signature cocktails: The Pickering Poloma or the Marks Mule. We got to hear from a few of their special guests when they gave speeches that were filled with so many memories of how Taylor and Tayson became their collective nickname of "Tay Tay".
the dance floor
Their first dance was to the song that they bonded over early in college after they met in chemistry class: Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam. After the first dances, the dance floor opened up and everyone had a great time celebrating the happy couple!
