Experience

what you can expect from working with me

How it works

1. Connect & Discover

You're engaged - congratulations! It's time to start planning your wedding and building your team of vendors who are passionate about creating a great experience for you.

Once you find me and connect with my work, fill out my inquiry form so I can get to know you and all the information I'll need to serve you to the best of my ability.

2. Plan & Prepare

After your wedding date is finalized on my calendar by paying the $1,000 deposit and signing your contract, we'll start planning any additional photoshoots you added to your package.

One month before your wedding, we will hop on a Connection Call in order to go over your timeline, group photo shot lists, etc.

3. Capture & Deliver

Your wedding day arrives, and it's awesome!

Within 48 hours of saying "I do", you'll receive your sneak peeks photos in your inbox.

Afterwards, I'll be working hard to build your gallery and deliver on time.

"these photos truly feel like they are going to become family heirlooms."

FAQ

How would you describe your style of photography?

I have a combination of documentary and editorial styles. I'm great at being a fly on the wall and capturing those candid moments, but I also love to step in and help curate a photo when necessary. I'm always trying to decide between a fun, movement filled photo and a posed shot, so you'll get a mix of both in your gallery.

I edit my photos according to what your day looked like. If you're getting married in the summer on a beach with bright colors, then your photos will be brighter and more colorful. If you're getting married in the fall with a deeper color palette, then your photos will be a bit moodier with deeper colors and shadows. You designed your day a certain way, and I want your photos to reflect that.

What should we wear for our session?

For engagement photos, light and neutral colors are best. Aim for white, tan, linen, and denim

For any other session, choose a color palette that aligns with the season and environment we're in.

Don't worry, I'll send you a Styling Guide to help you!

What if you are unable to make it to our wedding day?

This would only happen if I'm literally dying or someone I love is dying, but in case something comes up, it's best to know what to expect. I'm so lucky to have an amazing community of photographers in the area, so I would do my best to bring in someone I trust to replace me for the day. They would then give me the photos they took so I could edit them. You would still receive the editing style that you hired me for. I would then give you a percentage of your original price back to you since you did not receive the experience you originally paid for.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

Ah, the joys of living in Washington. The rain is something that we have to live with for most of the year and it can be tricky to schedule a session around it. I usually luck out with weather *knock on wood* but if it's looking like it will rain on your session date, we have some options. We can embrace it if it's only going to be a drizzle, you can utilize my cute bubble umbrellas, or we can shift the timing / reschedule for a different day for no additional cost.
